Who's behind this
I'm Chris Weiss, a licensed amateur radio operator (KR4YON) based in coastal Georgia. I've spent more than 14 years in operations and recruiting for a regional light-industrial staffing company, including running my own office and region. Along the way I became the person who built, fixed and automated the technology everyone else relied on. Hamidowns is where I do that work for you.
What I've built
Websites
Rebuilt a regional staffing company's website front to back, with 30+ hand-coded pages plus every job posting. Over the same period it brought in roughly 1,100 applicants — about three times what the paid job board produced.
Custom tools
Designed and built a Chrome extension used daily in a recruiting office: a side-panel tool with dozens of message templates, roster tracking, duplicate-record detection and onboarding checklists.
Office systems & automation
Set up always-on office services that restart on their own after a power outage, a shared network folder for the team, phone call-log automation and a scheduled after-hours text system.
Networks & home lab
I run my own server lab: enterprise HP ProLiant hardware with TrueNAS and Proxmox, ZFS storage, a managed switch with VLANs, and mesh Wi-Fi. Same skills that go into setting up and securing a small office.
Local AI
Set up an AI server on an office network for drafting and automation.
Online presence
Managed a business's Google Business Profile and cleaned up its online image.
